Stop Smoking Practitioner Programme (SSPP)

SSPP is designed specifically for Stop Smoking practitioners. The training combines best practice concepts and methods to help the New Zealand stop smoking workforce achieve a national standard of quality practice.
 
SSPP will develop your core competencies in stop smoking treatment and practice. As a result of this course you will be enrolled in the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level 3), Support Worand receive NZQA credits.
 
There are 8 Assessment Tasks with 15 NZQA unit standards included in the Stop Smoking Practitioner Programme. Completing the training will earn you a national qualification.  The SSPP is a distance learning programme that can be completed online.​​

Currently there are 3 versions of the SSPP that practitioners can complete: 


SSPP Full Programme
Practitioners with no formally assessed qualifications at Level 3 or above

SSPP Fast Track Programme 
Practitioners with evidence of achieved qualifications or tertiary level health papers at Level 3 and above

SSPP Health Professionals Programme
